“IF IT WEREN’T FOR DRUMS, I WOULDN’T BE HERE”

I’ve been playing drums since the age of 13. Since I was passionate about drums so much, I wanted to expand my skill set and started to fix & customize my own drums in high school. I started working at a custom drum company in 2012 where I eventually became lead craftsman, learning and handling every aspect of making musical drums using pre-made drum shells.

After losing my father and sister to cancer, I founded Muro Drums in 2017 in memory of them. There, I transform raw lumber into handcrafted drum shells that resonate with beauty aurally and aesthetically.

Drums were my gateway to becoming a maker. If it weren’t for drums, I wouldn’t be here! They sparked my journey down the path of creativity, where I’ve learned all the skills I’ve needed to explore other disciplines like furniture-making. Check out my work at Muro Drums below.
